The installation is inspired by the 3000 cans of unclaimed remains of the mental patients at the Oregon State Hospital, and includes 100 tin cans on shelves. Each can is lovingly decorated for one of their own family member in the unfortunate event that they would die and their remains would go unclaimed. The piece is influenced by the group’s pan-American heritage, recalling Dia de los Muertos style altars, Catholic shrines, roadside memorials, and bodegas. Viewers may participate by decorating a can for a family member in the event that they would die and their remains would go unclaimed, and leaving it in the collection of the Friends of the AMF Society.

The installation is based on stories and memories from childhood, relived in adulthood. It is a life-sized drawing on paper of three figures and a goat under a water tower. The drawing is cut with over 50 luna moths, layed over vinyl and backlit. Luna moths lay eggs in the dirt and hatch from the ground. Here they are hatching from a dirt pile and flying away. The dirt pile is littered with ceramic-cast Happy Meal toys.
